The Sleat peninsula offers an incredible range of high-quality visitor experiences including exceptionally stunning walks, boat trips to hidden beaches, whisky tasting at Torabhaig Distillery and for those more adventurous types, try your hand at Kayaking, Canoeing or River Tubing with our friends at Skye Highland Adventures. This very special area really does offer something for everyone!
The area has a variety of walks suitable for all. You can take a gentle stroll around the gardens at Armadale Castle, follow one of their nature trails, or take a longer walk to Leitir Fura , Point of Sleat or Coille Dalavil. Take a peek at walk highlands which is an excellent reference point and gives very clear instructions for each walk.
Skye also has a wealth of natural scenery which provides some of Scotland's most iconic scenic spots, including the Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing and the Cuillin. Why not travel back in time to when the rival clans fought against one another and fierce Jacobite battles took place.
There are a range of picturesque towns and villages across Skye where you can go to relax and explore the many restaurants, coffee shops, retailers, pubs and bars, including the town of Portree which lies at the centre of the island.
