Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC.

Location

Split into North and South, Oban makes a brilliant touring base. Outwith the town you could spend days exploring castles, gardens, villages, beaches, forests, and fun and unusual attractions, from the power station hollowed into a mountain to boat trips where you can spot basking sharks and a host of other sea life. Oban itself is compact and it's easy to get round on foot. There are plenty of small galleries and independent stores to browse through, as well as the centrally-located local distillery, chocolate shop, and museum. Wander along the seafront to the ruined Dunollie Castle and the sandy beaches beyond - the sunsets here are phenomenal. When it's time to relax or refuel, take your pick from the town's offering of pubs, cafés and restaurants.

Shops, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance of the property. No car is required to explore the town of Oban. There are bus and train links as well as the harbour with ferries over to the islands, however a car would be required to visit the surrounding areas.

Great host, very quick to respond to any queries I had, and super helpful. I highly recommend using this place if you are looking to stay in the Oban area, I myself may well be using it again in the near future! 👍🏻

7 friends, 2 dogs and myself stayed at McCaigs Tower Apartments recently. The description in the listing was as we found and non of my party had any complaints about the accomodation. There was ample room for all 8 of us and the dogs. The apartment was clean and tidy. It's an old building and so has plenty of character. It was a short downhill walk into Oban centre but a bit of a steep walk back up from the centre but that didn't bother any of us. The views from the lounge window over Oban harbour were great and we saw a few lovely sunsets whilst staying. Any replies to questions asked about the place were prompt and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay at McCaigs Tower Apartments if anyone is looking to stay in Oban.

Fantastic top floor apartment with an incredible view over the Oban harbour. Really enjoyed watching the boats coming and going. Comfortable beds, and a complete kitchen for preparing any meals/snacks. A great place for a family stay!

Lovely apartment with stunning views. Absolutely beautiful apartment with the most amazing views that you just wouldn't get tired of. Nicely furnished with comfy beds. All rooms were very spacious for the 6 of us and the Kitchen was well equipped. We had a lovely stay.

We enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Yes, there are stairs to the second floor, but the view from the front rooms is fabulous. We didn’t use all the bedrooms but our bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our view. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed having a large fridge. It also had ample storage in each bedroom and plenty of towels. Oban is a lovely town to visit, sensational seafood and lots to see, particularly if you catch a ferry to Mull and Iona.

Incredible views over the town and bay over to Kerrera and Mull! Apartment was easy to find, on street parking and also walkable from town (a steep hill though!) with all local attractions in walking distance. The apartment itself was spacious and the electric heaters were enough for April, with instructions for everything we needed. There were 4 good sized bedrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. There were a couple of interior things that are starting to need some maintenance but nothing that spoiled our stay. Overall, we loved it! And the walk back to apartment up the slope or Jacobs ladder kept us fit! Did I mention the view?!! Wow!
