Description

Ty-Gwyn is superbly located in the tranquil area of Capeluchaf, an area of outstanding natural beauty nestled on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

The stone-built cottage has been lovingly restored to provide cosy accommodation for up to seven people. Featuring 3 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Double and 3 Singles) makes Ty Gwyn the perfect location for couples & families alike looking to escape & explore the beautiful surroundings on offer. [Note the 3 singles are a bedroom located off the main king bedroom]

The equipped kitchen features solid worktops, cooker & hob, fridge / freezer, washing machine & microwave.

The lounge & dining area feature comfy sofa seating, log burning stove (logs NOT provided), TV and Stereo / Bluetooth speaker. The adjoining dining area features a large table and chairs creating a communal setting between the lounge & dining area.

The family bathroom with shower and separate bath is also on the ground floor. A separate WC is located next to the porch.

Outside is a large open garden with idyllic views over the Valley, on a clear day you can also make out Glyder Fawr, the highest peak in the Glyderau range.

At the rear of the property you will find access to 20 acres of farmland that can be explored by the adventurous (long grass....& its Wales so bring waterproofs!) & is a great place to spot many species of wildlife.

Please note the driveway from the road & up to Ty-Gwyn itself is very narrow & unsuitable for wide vehicles. For cyclists using a road bike, the track leading to the property would be unsuitable for a road bike straight from the house due to the uneven ground. Road bike cyclists would need to drive down to the bottom of the road to then offload bikes. Mountain bikes would be fine to set off straight from the property.

Location

The country lanes in the area are virtually traffic-free and ideal for keen walkers and cyclists. The nearest Blue Flag beach, at Dinas Dinlle is 10 minutes by car. The Llyn Peninsula is 15 minutes away and offers beautiful beaches, magnificent mountains and a wealth of tourist attractions, including narrow gauge railways, Caernarfon Castle and the old fashioned seaside resort of Criccieth. Whether you’re into photography, fishing or rambling, there are lots of opportunities nearby!

Lovely quaint cottage, fabulous location. Owner was very proactive and communication was great. Clean and well equipped cottage with everything that you could need for a seaside break. I have already recommended to a friend.

The cottage is a great place to stay, even or especially with children. It's perfectly comfortable with all facilities in excellent working order with few frills but massive charm.

Truly secluded hidden gem As a family who has been shielding for the majority of the last 18 months due to the covid pandemic, we had a very specific wishlist for our summer holiday… we dreamed of a pretty little stone cottage, surrounded by nothing but nature, and close to some beautiful deserted beaches. We thought it was too much to hope for, but we were lucky enough to find the listing for Ty-Gwyn and it seemed to tick every single box on our wishlist! Having spent the last week here, it really is every bit as amazing as we’d hoped for - a truly secluded hidden gem. Beautifully renovated by the owners, it’s clear to see how much love and effort was put into breathing new life back into the cottage after it fell into disrepair. My kids have spent many happy hours bug-hunting in the meadows up the hill just behind the cottage and collecting beautiful shells and pebbles on the nearby beaches at Aberdesach and Dinas Dinlle. We hope to return again one day in the near future. Thank you!

Me and my friends had a wonderful time using the cottage as a base for all of our adventures around north Wales. It's in a fantastic, quiet location and has all the amenities that you could need during your stay. I highly recommend the place!
